    • Mark was a warm and welcoming host. He gave us lots of information about things to do on the island. The bungalow was beautiful and had everything we needed. The grounds and mountain views were beautiful. The staff and other guests were all friendly.
    • Mark was so welcoming and was a fantastic source of local knowledge. He accommodated any requests I had and I left the accommodation knowing that I would come back again. It is a beautiful location and the outdoor kitchen / bathroom area was fab.
    • The property was perfect for what we needed with our own private bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Mark and his staff were very friendly and helpful and we received good advice from Mark about the local area. It was great being able to rent kayaks and bikes from Mark.

    Cons -

    • Nothing! i would stay again
    • There were a lot of animals (cats and dogs) around the property. The cats would sit outside our door and try and come in every time we opened it. This was fine for us as animal lovers but for some might be a problem.
    • Can be noisy at night with the dogs and wildlife but They usually bring the dogs inside in the evenings.

The owner named Mark was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The walls of my room made of stones and bottle ends was creative, unique, cozy, and very comfortable. I had a fully equipped kitchinette and I ate breakfast there. The grounds had flowering perfumed exotic local trees and bushes.

The value and ambiance here are like nowhere else. Yes its not the Hilton overwater bungalow but what you get in return is gold - puppies and roosters greeting you in the morning, the sounds of the forest, the ocean, the wind at night, proximity to a world class surf break - the feeling that you actually live in moorea with the locals vs just another international hotel with a pool and nice decor. Close to the amazing restaurants as well. I recommend renting a car so you can get around. Mark and his staff will dial you in to help with booking any type of excursion or reservation you need. Way better than a busy concierge at a hotel who deals with hundreds of people a day. This place will hold a special place in my heart because it created real memories that my family will have for years to come.

Can be noisy at night with the dogs and wildlife but They usually bring the dogs inside in the evenings.

Such a fun and charming place on the quiet side of Moorea. Mark's place has the feeling of a small village, with families and surf crews and little animals running to and fro. Our bungalow was skillfully handmade by our host and was a perfect secluded spot for our needs.

Not much to report here. There was a palm tree above the house that dropped seeds which made a loud thunk sound on the roof, but it wasn't too bothersome.

Marks an excellent host, very friendly, thoughtful and shares excellent local knowledge through his hand drawn treasure map with all highlights and hidden gems of the islandHouses are clearly designed and build by someone who cares. High quality build, very comfortable beds, and very authentic atmosphere fitting to the Polynesian experience.Location is at the better side of the island. More natural surroundings, beautiful views from the tremendous garden, super safe neighbourhood, couple of supermarkets and food trucks (roulottes) nearby. With a car, great place from which to fall in love with all the sights this piece of paradise has to offer.Definitely recommend staying at Marks!

    Beautiful garden with beautiful bungalow

We were verbally assaulted and physically threaten. Upon arrival, I was informed by the receptionist that the bungalow I had booked for my friend and I , was occupied, and that the only option left was a studio but that I would probably not like it. We decided to have a look and as she predicted we did not like it. Poor standard, sketchy apartment No mosquito screen, infested of mosquito Extremely hot, the ceiling was very low and one bed was right underneath Not very clean, very old and dirty appliance I told her that I was not satisfied at all and wanted to speak to the owner. She called him and handed me the phone. The owner started right off the bat to be rude and very unpleasant, and was not understanding my disappointment. I explained to him calmly that I booked a bungalow with a certain standard and that the studio was far from being that. The owner insisted that really it was no big deal and that I was getting a better one (bigger place) and then he started to criticize and insult french people and told me that I should go back to France I told him that I did not understand why he was saying all this and he replied I don't understand why you're not happy so I told him the place sucks, and then the owner completely lost it, he insulted me and said that he will beat me badly. When he arrived, he almost hit me, verbally attacked us with racist and homophobic insults and then again physically threaten us and asked us to leave. After 45 MIN I managed to calm him down and decided to stay (no other option around and very late) . The day after he passed by and did not even say hello nor apologize. Very unpleasant experience and unfortunately this is not the first time someone reports physical threat and verbal aggression.

    The facility was nice.

The place was just stunning. In its location but after witnessing Mark the owner commit a horrible act of animal cruelty I would never recommend anyome to got there.. He is fake and not nice to animals.. I saw him hit his dogs. And then saw him throw a tinny kitten.. Alive, into the forest in the poring rain to die.i was so disgusted I could a lost my mind.. If you like animals, do not go to this place.

-Every single bungalow is made by Mark and they are all original and nice. -Mark is very helpful and will give you a lot of information about places of interest if you ask. -The garden is fantastic and each bungalow has a small table outside. - Mark and his son have good snorkeling masks to rent.-The bungalows has a fully equipped kitchen and a good shower.-It's easy to find and you have discounts for the ferry and car rental.

For the price that you pay, and Moorea is expensive compared to other parts of the world, the bungalows are nice, nothing bad. It's not super new but everything is cosy.

marks place is a paradise of a special kind in the midst of fantastic nature. Mark, a very helpful, kind and obliging friendly American, fulfills all wishes. He books the tours, makes recommendations and arranges everything. You can clearly feel that he wants to give the guests an unforgettable holiday. every house on the property looks different and all are wonderful. mark has lovingly translated every last detail. There is electricity, light, terraces, windows and so on in every corner. Mark built everything himself with much love. I have traveled a lot, but marks place is one of the nicest places to stay as the whole package of accommodation, nice people, beautiful nature is absolutely fantastic. I would like to mention that everything is absolutely clean, which I have not experienced anywhere on the island. I recommend marks place more than 100%

    Really nothing

    A very nice sleeping bungalow.

We didn't like the bathroom in our bungalow being seperate from the sleeping bungalow.
